Infographic: Beginner’s Guide to EGO E-Cig Kits

If you’re new to the e-cig market and to vaping, you may be confused by all of the products available. Many people who start vaping actually end up purchasing the wrong products, so the guide below will help you easily and affordably put together an electronic cigarette kit that you’ll love using. Before you know it, you’ll be vaping comfortably and you’ll be able to quit smoking regular cigarettes in a healthier way if that’s your ultimate goal.

The eGo-C Twist

The first item you’ll need to invest in is an eGo-C Twist. This variable voltage battery has the proportions of a thin cigar, and it allows you to adjust the voltage really easily by simply twisting the plate that’s found on the bottom of the device.

Another nice feature about this battery is the fact that it’s manual. This means that you can press and hold a button, which is found close to the top base, in order to inhale the vapour that’s produced. Once you’re done inhaling the amount that you want, you simply let go of the button.

An eGo Pass-Through Battery

It’s always a good idea to have a second battery as your backup because you won’t be able to vape once your first battery runs out of energy and needs to be set to recharge. If you don’t want your vaping to be interrupted, a spare battery in the form of an eGo pass-through is an optimal idea. This battery can be charged via a USB so that you can charge it at the same time that you vape. A good option is the SLB eGo-V, which also features a really convenient digital display that’s easy to read.

The Vivi Nova 2.0ml Tank

This device will screw easily into the top of your eGo battery.

To use the tank, all you have to do is unscrew the metal piece at the top and gently and carefully fill the clear cylinder with your preferred e-liquid. Fill it with roughly 1.5ml of e-cig juice for the best results. Just be certain that the wicks found inside are also saturated with e-liquid, and that they remain saturated as you vape. Otherwise, you’ll have to deal with a bad hit that will taste burnt or like plastic. But never fill the middle metal post with e-liquid. Instead, focus on carefully dripping the e-liquid around the centre post.

An eGo USB Charger

Your eGo USB battery charger will effectively charge up your eGo battery. This is necessary if you’re using an eGo battery that doesn’t have pass-through features.

To use this accessory, unscrew your Vivi Nova tank from the eGo battery. Then screw the eGo battery into the end of the eGo USB charger. You’ll notice that the light will turn red while the battery is charging. Once this light turns green, you’ll know that the battery is completely charged up and ready to be used.

E-Liquids

If you are completely new to vaping, you will certainly be amazed by the wide array of e-liquid flavours that are available. Also referred to as e-cig juices, these liquids come in everything from traditional tobacco flavour and fruit combinations, to dessert flavours like key lime pie. You can even find other flavours, such as waffles, lemonade, coffee, and more, to suit your every mood and taste.

When purchasing an e-liquid, consider the following:

Nicotine: E-liquids are available with or without nicotine, and you can choose the nicotine strength that you need. Remember that the throat hit (which is that tingling or burning sensation you feel when you inhale the vapour) will be determined largely by the amount of nicotine in the e-cig juice, so 24ml of nicotine will produce a pretty harsh throat hit but 6mg will produce a more subtle and gentler throat hit. Therefore, many vapers like to stick with 12mg of nicotine as a nice balance.

Longevity: The average vaper will go through 10ml of e-liquid in 3 or 4 days. So, to start, you can purchase a few different flavours in 10ml sizes until you find your favourites, which you can then purchase in greater quantities.

Ingredients: E-liquids contain vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol, which are both deemed safe for human consumption. Be aware, though, that propylene glycol will produce a harsher throat hit, and it will also dry your mouth out more quickly. Vegetable glycerine causes the e-liquid to be thicker, and you will notice that it also produces more vapour. To get the best of both, you can find e-liquids that contain 50% of each ingredient.

Once You Get the Hang of Vaping, Experiment

Once you have gotten used to vaping, you can experiment with the variety of other e-cig products and accessories available until you find your favourites. You will probably find, though, that you are continually upgrading as the latest gadgets are released.
